Welcome to the Cheshire Cricket Club Web site!
Our club was established in 2002. We are registered with
the Southern Connecticut
Cricket Association since inception of our club in 2002. We play our
home games at the Bartlem Recreation Ground in Cheshire located across
from the Cheshire High School. With a mix of players from India and
Pakistan and ranging in age from early 20's to some players in their mid
40's one thing is common to all here - the love of the game. Playing in
a part of the world where to just get a ground to play cricket is a
fight, we have been very fortunate in getting the support from the Town
of Cheshire. Our primary goal is to play cricket and promote this royal
game to the community here never forgetting the spirit of the game that
it is played in. Win or lose after every game it has been a custom of
our league to make sure that both teams come together after the game for
a meal. These meals are the true sense of true camaraderie where the
winners don't miss the chance to heckle the losing team and within the
same spirit the losing team does not waste anytime in letting the
winners know of their opportunity lost and challenge for a game down the
road. With already 26 total teams registered in our state between the
two leagues it is becoming common sight to see a cricket field close to
home wherever you live.
